Guide to Giving
New! Party with a Purpose for Place of Hope
The idea behind Parties with a Purpose is to make a positive difference to the ministry at Place of Hope by hosting unique events here on our campus. Such events could include but are not limited to milestone birthday parties such as a Sweet Sixteen or a 40th birthday bash, office Christmas Parties, and Golden Anniversary Parties. Hosting a Party with a Purpose at Place of Hope, not only raises funds, but also raises awareness. When your guests come to our campus for your party they will be able to see first hand our mission and passion for the hurting and abused children of Palm Beach County.
One donor who recently hosted his 40th Birthday Party with a Purpose at Place of Hope had this to say, “In the end, being part of something so much bigger than myself is a privilege and an honor. I probably won't know the full impact of this party for Place of Hope and/or the Kingdom for many years to come. I look forward to the rest of this story........"
If you are interested in hosting a Party with a Purpose for Place of Hope please contact Sarah Livoti at sarahl@placeofhope.com or 561.775.7195.

The following will help explain various ways to support our mission. Learning more about options that can help you reach your personal financial objectives can help you:

- protect your assets and receive lifetime income
- reduce income and estate tax consequences
- provide for loved ones
- provide a nurturing home for hurting children
Gifts of Cash
One of the simplest gifts to make is an outright gift of cash directly to Place of Hope. Cash donations are 100% deductible. Consult your tax advisor for good counsel on how contributions can help in your tax planning. To make a gift of cash to Place of Hope on-line, click here.
A Bequest
A bequest allows you to make a final lifetime gift in support of God's children and our mission to bring them hope and healing. A charitable bequest will also decrease your estate tax liability.
Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, Real Estate
You can deduct the fair market value of your gift and earn a charitable deduction. No capital gains taxes are owed on such a gift. You can also transfer ownership of the real estate to Place of Hope now and maintain the right to use the property for your lifetime and that of your spouse as well. However, you will receive a current charitable deduction.
Stocks and bonds can easily be given to Place of Hope. You will be entitled to an income tax charitable deduction for the current fair market value of the stocks and bonds (on the date of the gift). You can donate stocks and bonds that have increased in value and avoid capital gains tax on the transaction.
Charitable Gift Annuity
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a contractual arrangement between you and a charity. You can make an irrevocable gift of cash, securities or real estate (minimum $10,000) in exchange for guaranteed payments to you and your spouse for life with the remaining value benefiting Place of Hope at your death. The income can be substantially higher than your current income on the existing asset and you will be entitled to an appropriate tax deduction.
Gifts of Collectibles
Art, antiques, cars, and other tangible personal property items of value may also be given to Place of Hope. In most cases, you will receive an income tax deduction for the contribution. The tax result of a gift depends upon your particular tax position. We can assist you and your tax advisor in determining your actual tax result.
