The Martin & Parr Family, The Kirkwood Foundation, and Anna M. Turri issued a combined matching challenge grant to construct Joann’s cottage.  Joann’s Cottage is a faith-based family-style maternity home for girls providing comprehensive care for young mothers and young mother’s to be.  The maternity home operates at a secured location in a traditional family neighborhood, welcoming girls into a safe, healthy, and productive environment 24 hours a day/seven days a week. 

Joann’s Cottage provides professional casemanagement, independent living services, parenting classes, access to quality medical care, and comprehensive support services to ensure safety and well-being of the mothers and mothers to be.  In addition to this, Joann’s Cottage offers consistent residential care, supervision, and healthy influences that strive to meet each girl’s physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and educational needs.
