We rely heavily on our team of volunteers. We invite andencourage everyone to find an area in which they feel comfortable helping to care for our children, families andyoung adults. We are excited to have members of the community who are willing to support our mission - one child, family and young adult at a time.

Volunteer opportunities include:
Ambassadors of Hope
The Ambassadors of Hope is a networking group for local business- and socially-minded people. Our aim is to raise awareness about Place of Hope and the dramatic difference it is making in so many foster youths’ lives, while at the same time, promoting business and social connections with one another. We are half-way to our goal of 100 members! We encourage everyone to come and check it out.

Next Ambassadors of Hope Event
When: Tuesday, November 29th at 05:30 PM
Where:Russell’s Blue Water Grill

Located in the carousel courtyard
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410
Please join us for our next Ambassadors of Hope event. Delicious appetizers & drink specials will be provided by Russell’s Blue Water Grill. Everyone is encouraged to bring friends and colleagues, the event is free!
Ambassadors of Hope have a life changing impact on the children at Place of Hope. Come be a part of this amazing opportunity to impact lives and make some amazing networking connections in the process!
Hope to see you there!

Mentoring
- You will work one-on-one with a child from Place of Hope
- You commit to calling your mentee once a week
- You commit to taking him or her out at least twice a month to participate in a meaningful activity
- You commit to mentoring for at least one year

Tutoring
- You will work one-on-one with one child from Place of Hope
- You commit to coming to Place of Hope's campus once a week to tutor
- You commit to tutoring for at least one full school year
Professional Support
If you are a professional with talents and abilities to help the children or professional staff at Place of Hope, we would love for you to be involved with our ministry. Please consider how you might serve in the following areas:
- Dental - help a child by providing routine cleaning and special services
- Medical - help a child by providing annual physical exams, special lab work or treatment while ill
- Legal - help our staff review legal documents, formulate contracts, etc.
- Fundraising - lend your expertise to help Place of Hope successfully raise funds
- Construction - lend your talents and resources to help improve or expand our campus
Cooking
- We ask that you would cook enough for eight people
- You can commit to cooking once a week, once a month or less frequently
- We ask that you would arrange drop off (Monday-Friday 8a.m.-5p.m.) with our office ahead of time so we can notify the cottage parents of the coming meal
Clerical
- Tasks range from organizing supplies to helping with mailers
- Some tasks can even be done from your home
Special Events
- Events require a large amount of work in a concentrated period of time (January through April)
- We need extra hands to help make phone calls, to pick up orders, to prepare invitations for mailing, etc.
Please know that every volunteer opportunity - whether direct care or not - supports the children here and allows us to keep our doors open to the children who need us. We are excited to have members of the community who are willing to support our mission of caring for abused and neglected children - one child at a time.
