POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for overseeing the Shade Tree Outreach program and all related drives, sponsorships, peer­ to-peer fundraisers, and events. Advance the organization’s mission by strengthening and expanding community relationships while supporting philanthropic initiatives. This role serves as a strategic liaison between community engagement and advancement efforts, enhancing donor experiences, supporting fundraising campaigns, and cultivating partnerships that drive sustainable impact.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience and one year of relevant experience.
  • Strong general knowledge of child and youth development and the child welfare system, prevention
  • Flexibility to facilitate various program responsibilities
  • Computer proficiency: Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Canva
  • 3–6+ years of experience in community engagement, partnerships, or advancement support
  • Strong understanding of relationship management and donor engagement principles
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships
  • Passion for mission-driven work and serving the community

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Create and supervise all components of the program, employees, clients, volunteers, donors, and vendors.
  • Responsible for proactively finding, developing, planning, and executing interactive and engaging corporate and community drives, parties with a purpose, sponsorships, and peer-to-peer fundraisers.
  • Responsible for securing sponsorships for organization events.
  • Implement and follow all program policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to advance the Shade Tree mission utilizing exceptional communication skills.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Shade Tree outreach program and the community to ensure critical services are provided to families and children navigating the public child welfare system.
  • Assist in the research, development, planning, and implementation stages for future strategy fundraising plans.
  • Maintain tracking to ensure proper follow-up has been taken, and to encourage repeat engagement and lasting relationships.
  • Maintain tracking to ensure all pertinent contractual requirements are met, as applicable.
  • Management of charts, policies, training, and applicable contract compliance to ensure that best practices are in place and being utilized at all times.
  • Attend applicable training workshops and training programs to meet requirements.
  • Tracking all services provided for client prevention statistics.
  • Utilize resources available to help provide clients with accessory resources to aid in prevention.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and engagement
  • Collaborate with Advancement leadership to support fundraising campaigns, donor engagement strategies, and special initiatives
  • Assist in identifying, cultivating, and stewarding mid-level donors and community-based supporters
  • Support execution of capital campaigns and major initiatives through partner engagement, coordination, and logistics
  • Plan and execute donor and community engagement events in collaboration with Advancement and program teams
  • Ensure a high-quality, mission-driven experience for donors, volunteers, and partners at all events and engagements
  • Represent the organization at community events, strengthening visibility and relationships
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align community engagement efforts with organizational needs
  • Communicate program impact through partner engagement opportunities and storytelling support
  • Ensure all program policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, and operating protocols comply with the organization and all regulations at all times.
  • Manage day-to-day general business affairs, including but not limited to coordination of interaction with vendors, service providers, regulatory agencies, donors, and volunteers.
  • Required to attend all Shade Tree events.
