POSITION PURPOSE
The Director of Campaigns & Philanthropy serves as the regional relationship development leader for Place of Hope’s Campaigns & Philanthropy Division. Responsible for the expansion of Angel Moms, cultivating community leadership, increasing donor and foundation engagement, securing sponsorship and campaign support, and strengthening Place of Hope’s long-term philanthropic growth throughout an assigned region.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant advancement and development experience and three years relevant experience
- Strong general knowledge of advancement in an organization
- Flexibility to manage various advancement responsibilities
- Strong communication skills, oral and written
- Computer proficiency: Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Oversee Angel Mom Leadership and regional expansion
- Recruit, engage, and steward Angel Mom members and leadership volunteers.
- Expand Angel Mom participation throughout the assigned region.
- Develop strong volunteer leadership within the Angel Mom community.
- Partner with regional leadership teams to grow engagement opportunities.
- Identify Angel Moms with potential for deeper philanthropic involvement.
- Oversee PGC/CEO Circle Recruitment and Stewardship
- Identify and solicit event sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop and steward corporate and community partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Events team to align sponsorship strategies.
- Cultivate year-round relationships with sponsors.
- Move sponsors toward broader philanthropic engagement beyond individual events.
- Campaigns and Philanthropic giving development
- Provide leadership and support across Place of Hope’s philanthropic giving continuum:
- Cultivate recurring and annual donors.
- Increase donor participation and retention.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
- Build and manage a portfolio of qualified donors.
- Support capital fundraising initiatives and campaign strategies.
- Identify prospects with capacity for transformational gifts.
- Promote long-term investment opportunities.
- Cultivate prospective endowment supporters.
- Introduce and promote planned giving opportunities.
- Build future estate and legacy commitments.
- Serve as a visible ambassador for Place of Hope throughout the assigned region.
- Build strong relationships with community leaders, churches, businesses, foundations, and donors.
- Conduct regular cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation meetings.
- Represent Place of Hope at community events and engagement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate donor and prospect activity records.
