POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for overseeing the Human Resources department and functions of the organization.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or equivalent human resources experience and at least five years relevant human resources experience
  • Strong general knowledge of human resources practices and employment law/regulations
  • Flexibility to manage various human resources responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Computer proficiency: Advanced in Database Management. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Manage the human resources department and employees.
  • Oversee all recruitment, hiring, employee relations, and entire employee life cycle.
  • Oversee implementation of the Pathways to Hope Internship Program.
  • Create and update human resource policies and procedures.
  • Prepare for and execute all applicable audits.
  • Review salary ranges, recommendations, and projections based on market trends.
  • Plan and enforce recruitment, management, and employee relations policies.
  • Oversee all employment benefit meeting execution.
  • Responsible for overseeing payroll activities.
  • Responsible for continued functionality and operation of employee time management software.
  • Responsible for time off policies, procedure, and implementation.
  • Responsible for maintaining all human resources compliance including, but not limited to, employment/labor laws, DCF, ACA, COBRA, EEOC, Title VII, BLS.
  • General tasks: review all applicant backgrounds to ensure compliance, prepare and present all audit materials, prepare market research salary reports, prepare and submit monthly ACA compliance and DCF background status reporting.
  • Ensure all components of the human resources department with clients, donors, volunteers, and vendors are handled with excellence and meet standards and policies.
  • Manage day to day general business affairs, to include but not be limited to coordination of the administrative offices, functions, and other support staff, as well as interaction with vendors, suppliers, service providers, regulatory agencies, donors, and volunteers.
