Villages of Hope, a sister entity of Place of Hope, is dedicated to transforming the lives of young adults who have aged out of foster care, are experiencing homelessness, are single mothers with dependent children, or are survivors of human trafficking. Villages of Hope is an independent living program with affordable transitional housing offering a supportive, faith-based environment where youth can transition into healthy, stable independence.

Our Mission

Villages of Hope provides independent living residential support and essential life-skills development for emancipated foster youth and homeless youth in need. We are committed to meeting a desperate need in our community by sharing God’s love, supporting the transition to adulthood, and building hope – one young adult at a time.

Our Vision

To guide youth in developing their God-given potential by mastering the life-skills necessary for successful independence.

  • We strive to build:
  • Hope rather than despair
  • Potential rather than limitations
  • Healing rather than hurting
  • Belonging rather than isolation
  • Independence rather than dependence

A focus on what the future can be, rather than what the past has been

Why Villages of Hope?

Every year, thousands of youth leave the foster care system unprepared for life on their own. Many struggle to find safe housing, steady employment, and emotional support. At Villages of Hope, we break those cycles by:

  • Providing safe, affordable housing within a proactive, nurturing community
  • Offering comprehensive life-skills training, financial coaching, and employment support
  • Connecting residents with mentorship and educational resources to empower personal growth
  • Helping residents establish financial stability through budgeting, savings, and debt reduction programs

Breaking the Statistics

The realities for aged-out foster youth nationwide are daunting:

  • 1 in 5 will become homeless after age 18
  • Only 50% will be employed by age 24
  • Less than 3% will earn a college degree
  • 71% of young women will become pregnant by age 21
  • 1 in 4 will experience PTSD

At Villages of Hope, our youth are rewriting these outcomes:

  • 98% are employed
  • 91% are enrolled in post-secondary education
  • 99% are debt-free or have paid off debt
  • 97% have visited a dentist
  • 100% have stable housing and transitioned to healthy independence
  • 97% contribute to savings accounts
  • 100% received a physical exam
  • 100% have obtained or are working toward their high school diploma/GED

“A Godsend for These Kids”

Their concern and care for the kids is very obvious. The staff are dedicated to their well-being, adjustment, and advancement. The local business community is tremendous in its support for the mission. All in all, a Godsend for these young people. Keep up the good work, and God bless you all.
