Seven Stars Cottage is Palm Beach County’s first faith-based, family-style emergency placement and assessment center for abused and neglected children. We provide short-term emergency care and support services for up to eight boys (ages 5 to 17) who have been removed from their homes by the State of Florida due to allegations of abuse, neglect or abandonment and are temporarily unable to return home.
Our cottage provide:
- Professional case management
- Therapy (individual and groups)
- Comprehensive support services
- We ensure the safety and well-being of dependent children while providing consistent residential care, supervision, healthy influences and services that strive to meet each child’s physical, emotional, social, spiritual and educational needs.
Volunteers play an important part in enriching the lives of our boys at our Seven Stars Cottage. Having been removed from their own homes, it is easy for them to become hopeless and overwhelmed with the current events of their lives. With volunteers coming to do activities, cook a meal, complete school work or mentor, it adds a sense of normalcy and relief to their lives. We have seen that by just showing an interest in a child’s life, we can convey the hope and healing they need!
