HIT A GRAND SLAM RINKER

JOHNNY BENCH BASEBALL HALL OF FAMER & PLACE OF HOPE ADVOCATE- “A family is like a baseball team where the players each have their own individual talents and use them to support each other to win. Although life may have a challenging start, the game can quickly change with a home run. They say that ‘in baseball as in life, all of the important things happen at Home.’ A family is where unconditional love covers all the bases. ” – Johnny Bench, played in the Major Leagues for the Cincinnati Reds from 1967 to 1983, 14-time All-Star selection and a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

About the Campaign

Meet Samuel

For Samuel, it was the first time he was able to participate in a team sport. He loved playing alongside his friends and being part of a team. He was nervous the first time he went up to bat during the game, however, as he approached home plate, he looked back and was surprised to see he had an entire cheering section! His entire Place of Hope family was there; and with a grin from ear to ear, Samuel had the best game ever!

Team Place of Hope

Team Place of Hope is in a “League of Their Own” because of community members, donors, volunteers, organizations, businesses and staff coming together to cheer on our kids every day. It takes a team to build confidence, restore hope and meet the daily needs of the children, youth, families and human trafficking victims we serve.

Be in the stands when our kids look back and help cultivate a “Field of Dreams”. Make a gift to our Building Hope Action Fund to rescue foster children and youth!
