I am participating in Beards for Hope because I am passionate about the life saving mission of Place of Hope and want to use this platform to provide an opportunity for you my friends to participate in providing a safe haven for our community’s children and youth who are hurting. I want to raise $500 for Place of Hope by participating in Beards for Hope! As a bonus, if I raise over $15,000 between now and December 1, I will shave my head for charity. Come on all you bald guys, wouldn't you like to see me bald?

There is so much to celebrate in the month of November! This particular November is significant to me as it marks 20 years that I have been a part of the team here at Place of Hope. November is also National Adoption Month, as someone who has witnessed the lives of countless children and families changed through adoption, I am asking for you to help me reach my fundraising goal of $20,000 to celebrate these last 20 years! We have an incredible opportunity. Place of Hope's Leadership Advisory Council Member, Richard Slawson, will match each donation dollar for dollar. That means, $20,000 raised becomes $40,000! Will you join me in making this season where we have so much to be grateful for, an impactful one, all while I grow a really awesome beard?

JOHNNY BENCH BASEBALL HALL OF FAMER & PLACE OF HOPE ADVOCATE- “A family is like a baseball team where the players each have their own individual talents and use them to support each other to win. Although life may have a challenging start, the game can quickly change with a home run. They say that 'in baseball as in life, all of the important things happen at Home.' A family is where unconditional love covers all the bases. ” – Johnny Bench, played in the Major Leagues for the Cincinnati Reds from 1967 to 1983, 14-time All-Star selection and a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
