Primary Cottage Parents

Responsibilities

The responsibility of the Primary Cottage Parents is to establish and maintain positive relationships with and ensure the best possible care for children placed in their care at all times. The position involves the combined efforts of a strong married couple in providing for the total care, teaching, nurturing, training, guiding and supervision of a specific assigned group of dependent, neglected and abused children. The couple must have a secure and healthy marriage with a distinct desire/vision to love and care for hurting children. Each couple will be responsible for six (6) children and youth (long and short term) as residents in an on-campus home.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment with others and independently.

Full-Time Female Relief Parent

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Female Relief Parent is to provide primary care in a relief capacity for the Professional (Primary Care) Parents. In this capacity, they will establish and maintain positive relationships with and ensure the best possible care for children placed in their care at all times. The position involves the effort of a qualified individual in providing for the total care, teaching, nurturing, training, guiding and supervision of a specific assigned group of dependent, neglected and abused children.

Requirements

  • Individual must have/be: 1) high school diploma or equivalent (some college credits/courses preferred); 2) previous child care experience; 3) at least 21 years of age.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of children/youth and program information at all times.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment with others and independently.
  • Must possess the ability to make responsible, sound recommendations and decisions under direction and in time of emergency.
  • Must demonstrate qualities that enable effective interaction with children in group care, enjoy working as team members, and endeavor to meet the varying needs of each child within the organizational guidelines.

HR Assistant (Palm Beach Gardens)

Responsibilities:

The Full-Time Human Resources Assistant shall be responsible for assisting in certain tasks related to the administration of the offices and general business affairs of Place of Hope, Inc. (and it’s affiliates) under the direct supervision of the Financial Director.

Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
  • 5 + years experience in Human Resources preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to pay attention to detail and maintain accurate records.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relations with a variety of people.
  • Must understand compliance regulations and confidentiality.

Resident Assistant, Parenting Young Adult Cottage (Boca Raton)

Responsibilities

The Resident Assistant shall reside within the Parenting Young Adult Cottage and be responsible for supplying support and oversight for four young adult females and their babies, under the direction of the Residential Program Manager and in accordance with approved policies and procedures. This is not a paid position, but includes room, board and monthly stipend. Other employment is encouraged.

Requirements

  • Must possess experience with the population.
  • Must possess strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and overall administrative skills.
  • Must be willing to partner with volunteers, mentors and collaborative agencies.
  • Must become familiar with, understand and uphold all confidentiality and abuse reporting requirements.
  • Must be available to be present the majority of evenings and weekends, overnight.

Program Coordinator for Joann’s Cottage Maternity Home

Responsibilities
Place of Hope is seeking a qualified Program Coordinator for Joann’s Cottage Maternity Home. The Program Coordinator must be able to multitask in a diverse and fast paced environment. Must be able to effectively manage a team. Must have strong organizational, administrative and people skills.

Requirements

  • Candidate should have Masters in related field or 5+ years experience in child welfare
  • Must maintain confidentiality of children/youth and program information at all times.

Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable shall be responsible for assisting in certain tasks related to the administration of the offices and general financial affairs of Place of Hope, Inc. (and its affiliates) under the direct supervision of the Finance Director.

  • Must be able to multitask and operate efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Must possess QuickBooks experience and the ability to maintain daily accounting information for the business

Full-Time Graphics & Visual Communications Assistant (Palm Beach Gardens)

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include managing photo database and press release archives, in-house printing, photographing/videoing events, assisting the Graphics Manager and Graphics Coordinator with printed/digital materials, event related projects and other misc. clerical work as needed.

Operations Assistant (Palm Beach Gardens)

Responsibilities

The full time Operations Assistant shall be responsible for assisting in certain tasks related to the operations of the properties of Place of Hope, Inc. (and its affiliates) under the direct supervision of the Operations Supervisor.

Requirements

  • The Operations Assistant should be (at a minimum) a candidate for a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in an applicable field, such as Business, Maintenance or Public Administration.
  • Must be able to work under tight schedules and possess the ability to effectively handle pressure associated with deadlines and crisis situations.
  • Be able to analyze and interpret general business, periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and overall administrative skills.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Be able to create and maintain vendor relationships.
  • The ability to work independently and creatively while functioning as part of a cooperative and coordinated team.

Finance Director (Palm Beach Gardens)

Responsibilities

The full time Finance Director shall be responsible for the overall management and preparation of financial documentation (both capital and operational), transactions and accounting procedures; human resource compliance, providing direct assistance to the agency’s CEO and COO in support of general business and organizational issues, activities, procedures, functions, and capital initiatives as well as direct supervision of the Business Team.

Requirements

  • Must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, such as a BS degree in Finance or Accounting and five years experience in accounting or financial management. Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of QuickBooks and familiarity with QuickBooks POS system.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to establish effective working relationship with a wide variety of people.

Responsibilities

The Advancement Associate shall be responsible for event coordination, support, and advancement under the direct supervision of the COO.

Responsibilities

The Male Relief Parent will serve in a loving, structured, living and learning environment caring for six foster children. Place of Hope is looking for compassionate, dedicated, and loving team members. Relief parents receive competitive salaries and benefits. Must have at least one year of experience working directly with children.

Responsibilities

The Enrichment Coordinator shall be responsible for coordinator of our Enrichment Program including program development, event coordination, support and advancement under the direct supervision of the Director of Enrichment.

Moving Assistant at Treasures for Hope (Palm Beach Gardens)

Responsibilities

The Moving Assistant shall be responsible for assisting in certain tasks related to the general business affairs of Treasures For Hope, Inc. under the direct supervision of the Moving Coordinator and the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and move heavy furniture
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
  • Pick-up donations and deliver purchases with supervision of Moving Coordinator.
  • Complete all other duties and requests in support of the organization as assigned by Moving Coordinator.

Full Time Business Assistant (Palm Beach Gardens)

Responsibilities

The full time Business Assistant shall be responsible for assisting in certain tasks related to the administration of the offices and general finance affairs of Place of Hope, Inc. (and its affiliates) under the direct supervision of the Finance Director. Responsibilities include data entry, bank runs, filing, audit prep, communications, and other department projects.

Requirements

  • Must be highly organized and able to multitask in a fast paced work environment
  • Must have solid written and verbal skills
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus

Part-Time Support Staff for Joann’s Cottage (Palm Beach Gardens)

Responsibilities

The Support Staff will work in a consistent and scheduled (and emergency) relief care capacity in the absence of the Primary Care Couple. They will similarly create and provide a support system (consistent with that of the Primary Care Couple) so as to foster consistency in the family-style setting. The Support Staff will work under the supervision of and report directly to the Program Coordinator or designate.
