Primary Cottage Parents

Responsibilities

The responsibility of the Primary Cottage Parents is to establish and maintain positive relationships with and ensure the best possible care for children placed in their care at all times. The position involves the combined efforts of a strong married couple in providing for the total care, teaching, nurturing, training, guiding and supervision of a specific assigned group of dependent, neglected and abused children. The couple must have a secure and healthy marriage with a distinct desire/vision to love and care for hurting children. Each couple will be responsible for six (6) children and youth (long and short term) as residents in an on-campus home.

Requirements

  • Must maintain confidentiality of children/youth and program information at all times.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment with others and independently.
  • Must possess the ability to make responsible, sound recommendations and decisions under direction and in time of emergency.

IT Help Desk

Responsibilities

The IT Help Desk will serve as primary point of contact for all IT needs at Place of Hope and its affiliates.  Will be responsible for maintaining basic daily IT functions, troubleshooting problems, resolving manageable issues, implementing improvements and upgrades, etc.

  • Well versed in all components of Microsoft Office, Office 365, Basic Network Topologies, and Basic Network Security

Case Coordinator

Responsibilities

Place of Hope, Paxson Campus is seeking a qualified Full Time Case Coordinator to serve in a loving, structured, living and learning environment caring for boys ages 5 through 17 while in a temporary placement. Responsibilities include managing files, coordinating services (with DCF, attorneys, case managers, therapists, etc.), problem-solving, assisting with life-skills development, and providing encouragement and accountability.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Must have at least one year of experience working directly with children
  • Must be flexible with hours (including on-call responsibilities)
  • Must be highly organized, a self-starter, relational, and possess  strong critical thinking skills

Part-time Sales Associate at Treasures for Hope

The Sales Associate shall be responsible for assisting in certain tasks related to the administration of the office and general business affairs of Treasures For Hope, Inc. (and its affiliates) under the direct supervision of the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist the store’s General Manager with daily operations.
  2. Process donations.
  3. Complete all other duties and requests in support of the organization as assigned.

Accounts Payable

Responsibilities

The Accounts Payable shall be responsible for assisting in certain tasks related to the administration of the offices and general financial affairs of Place of Hope, Inc. (and its affiliates) under the direct supervision of the Business Manager.

Requirements

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in applicable field
  • Must be able to multitask and operate efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Must possess QuickBooks experience and the ability to maintain daily accounting information for the business

Part-Time Support Staff for Joann’s Cottage

Responsibilities

The Support Staff will work in a consistent and scheduled (and emergency) relief care capacity in the absence of the Primary Care Couple. They will similarly create and provide a support system (consistent with that of the Primary Care Couple) so as to foster consistency in the family-style setting. The Support Staff will work under the supervision of and report directly to the Program Coordinator or designate.

  • Must be available to work weekends

Male Cottage Relief Parent

Responsibilities:

The Male Relief Parent will serve in a loving, structured, living and learning environment caring for six foster children. Place of Hope is looking for compassionate, dedicated, and loving team members. Relief parents receive competitive salaries and benefits. Must have at least one year of experience working directly with children.

Requirements:

  • Must possess the ability to make responsible, sound recommendations and decisions under direction and in time of emergency
  • Must become familiar with, understand and uphold all confidentiality and abuse reporting requirements, as dictated by law
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment with others and independently
