Patty & Richard Cook
Patty & Richard Cook experienced tragic loss last year when their eldest daughter, Jillian, passed away. Wanting to honor their daughter’s legacy they connected with Place of Hope. During Christmas, Patty Cook created a book drive in memory of Jillian to provide books for children entering the foster care system. Within days the books started rolling in and they collected over 250 books! These books blessed hundreds of abused and neglected kids.
After Christmas, Patty’s heart was encouraging her to continue to serving this ministry. In February, they hosted a diaper drive out of their home, inviting friends, family and others to donate. They had an incredible turnout and collected an entire truckload of diapers! The diapers are a very welcome blessing to many of our foster families who care for young children and toddlers. In fact, within 24 hours all of the diapers had been claimed by our very thankful foster families!
We are so incredibly thankful for supporters like Patty and Richard, and we are humbled to be a part of honoring Jillian’s legacy.
