Janelle Lang is the owner of Shoppe561, currently located on the corner of Belvedere and Dixie in West Palm Beach but soon to be relocated to 1905 South Dixie Highway at the end of the month. After over 25 years of working for Gap, Inc., Janelle opened the “Shoppe” in 2013 hoping to bring the community together and be a voice for victims of human trafficking.  Her passion began with a trip to Rwanda where she witnessed the evils of modern day slavery with her own eyes. Since opening Shoppe561, Janelle has partnered with Hope House Florida to help victims in her own backyard. Her shop carries handmade goods from local artisans with a portion of her sales going to help the girls who have been rescued from human trafficking and currently find refuge at Hope House.

Shoppe561 Janelle LangJanelle is a Hope Hero. She is as genuine as they come and to know her is to be inspired. Her creativity and business savvy, married with her passion to end modern slavery make her a force for social justice.  From hosting events in her shop to raise funds and awareness, to selling handmade goods from the girls at Hope House, Janelle seeks every opportunity to shine a light on human trafficking and enlist the help of the community to end it. The “Gummies for Hope” gummy bear tasting and 100 mile bike ride are among some of the innovative ways that Janelle has raised support for the cause. The shop also features a Hope Collection. The proceeds from these items directly support Hope House and the girls who have been rescued. Since opening her store in 2013, Janelle has raised over $12,000 for Hope House!

Janelle’s life is a shining example of a person who puts feet to her faith.  Her shop is inventive and the mission behind it is deeply inspiring. We are truly grateful for her tireless efforts to support the work being done at Hope House.
