Bill Weisberg is Chairman and CEO of Affiliated Distributors (AD), the largest member-owned construction and industrial products wholesale buying group in North America. AD helps independent wholesalers, most of whom are mid-size family businesses, compete with the national chains in their industries. AD has over 800 independent member companies and spans across 12 divisions in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Total sales for the group currently exceed $70 Billion.
Bill joined AD in 1983 and became Chairman and CEO in 1991. He led AD into Canada and Mexico and expanded the company’s distribution Network beyond electrical supplies through six start-ups and fourteen mergers to include General Line Industrial Supply Distributors, Pipe, Valves and Fittings Distributors, Plumbing Distributors, HVAC Distributors, Building Material distributors, Safety Distributors and Bearings and Power Transmission Distributors.
In 1999, Bill founded supplyFORCE, a national accounts company that enables AD’s electrical, industrial, PT and PVF members to collaboratively bid, service and fulfill MRO and Integrated Supply contracts for large, multiple location industrial facilities.
In 2017, Bill started the AD Disaster Relief Foundation to provide a vehicle for the AD community of Members and Suppliers to provide charitable relief to employees impacted by natural disasters.
In 2020, Bill was named “Person of the Year” by The Wholesaler magazine, who describe Bill as “a driven and creative problem-solver. He has the unique ability to see and define a problem from a different viewpoint and aggressively create an opportunity or solution.
In 2021, Bill started the Rugby Street Foundation to provide financial support, strategic coaching and a helping hand to charitable organizations, non-profits and faith based organizations.
At his core, Bill is man of faith, a husband to Elena Weisberg and father to eight children. Spending time with his family is his top priority. Bill has raised his children with core values to love God, treat others with dignity and respect, and to have a heart of giving back.
