Mr. Schmitt was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) (2020-2021) of Zelis, Inc. Zelis operates as a healthcare information technology provider. Zelis offers healthcare claims cost management and payments solutions including network solutions, claims integrity, and electronic payments serving healthcare payer clients, healthcare providers, and healthcare consumers.
Mr. Schmitt was co-founder, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Operations Officer (COO) (2006-2019) of RedCard Systems. RedCard Systems is a leading provider of healthcare payments and communications optimization. RedCard’s gateway technology drives effective communications between healthcare payers, providers and consumers, delivering mission critical claims, payments, benefits and individual financial responsibility information via secure communication modalities. RedCard merged with Zelis in 2019.
Mr. Schmitt was co-founder, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Operations Officer (COO) (1997-2005) of Advanced Business Fulfillment, Inc., (ABF). ABF provides technology-based solutions for processing health payers’ claims communications for healthcare insurance companies, managed care organizations, health maintenance organizations, dental plans, self-insured companies, and third-party administrators. ABF was sold to WebMD in 2003.
Mr. Schmitt was co-founder of Anthony, Allan & Quinn, Inc. (AAQ) (1993-2005). AAQ is a holding company that provides centralized infrastructure and funding for new business startups.
Mr. Schmitt earned his B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Northern Iowa in 1991. He currently resides in Boca Raton, Florida and Park City, Utah with his wife Debbie. Dru and Debbie enjoy their leisure time with their 4 adult children and 1 grandchild.
