big sam HEWHard Exercise Works in Wellington hosted a park WOD Saturday morning, July 23 to encourage the community to get #fitforhope in support of over 300 foster kids in our daily care!

The morning proved fun for the whole family as over 120 people showed up to Seminole Palms Park. HEW, Wellington partnered with Chick-fil-a in The Mall at Wellington Green and Chick-fil-a Royal Palm to provide food for the fitness goers. The infamous Chick-fil-a cow was seen doing burpees and high knees alongside the 120 attendees.

When approached about hosting a #fitforhope day, HEW Wellington Owner, John Szarskewski, immediately jumped on board and with great excitement began planning this field day style event!HEW Welly coaches cropped

I’m blown away by our ‪#‎hewwelly community pulling together to raise over $1,500 for Place of Hope foster care organization in ONE DAY!! Everyone that graced us coaches with burpees today… Thank you. We still have 1 more day to donate ‪#‎fitforhope.” ‬‬

Earlier that morning at their 6am class, John and his team of coaches issued a burpee challenge to ramp up the excitement for their park WOD Saturday: For every $1 donated to Place of Hope, you could challenge a coach to do a burpee.
