The Pathways to Hope internship program recruits qualified student candidates to gain hands-on job experience in child welfare. This program seeks to develop the candidate skills necessary to perform essential job functions in a social service setting.

Qualified candidates must:
- Be in pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate level degree at the time their internship would begin.
- Have interest in non-profit child welfare and the internship position applied for.
- Complete a thorough background check per DCF requirements prior to the start of their internship.
Successful candidates will:
- Complete internship assignments at their assigned work location for the duration of their internship, unless otherwise specified. Internships may include work location rotation.
- Successful candidates will engage in their assigned department(s) and be immersed in the day-to-day functions of the role.
Internship locations may include:
- Paxson Campus, Palm Beach Gardens
- KidSanctuary Campus, West Palm Beach
- Villages of Hope Campuses: Palm Beach Gardens and Boca Raton
INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
HR INTERN
POSITION PURPOSE
To gain real world experience in a social service setting.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
- The ability to serve a minimum of 5 hours per week and a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Computer proficiency: Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
PROGRAM TERM
Maximum term– one (1) school semester or summer break.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Understands the overall mission of the organization.
- Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems, as applicable.
- Assists in creating reports, as needed.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must be detail orientated, with problem solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Express technical ideas, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to conduct detailed research and analyze the results.
- Accepts designated tasks and special projects to research and propose ideas and solutions.
- Ensure all activities and engagements with donors, volunteers, and vendors are handled with excellence and meet standards and policies.
FINANCE INTERN
