Todd M. Cannon has been Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for eighteen years at Vecenergy, based in Palm Beach, Florida. The company is a privately held, leading provider of Advanced Energy Services & Products in the southeast U.S..

Todd has been in the energy industry for over forty years. He graduated from one of the United States’ Federal military academies, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, located in Kings Point, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, an Officer’s Commission in the U.S. Naval Reserve, and a U.S. Coast Guard 3rd Asst. Engineer License for vessels of unlimited horsepower. He was in the Naval Reserve for ten years and obtained the rank of Lt. Commander. His first job out of the Academy was as Project Coordinator, then Port Engineer working worldwide for six years for McDermott International based in New Orleans, LA. He then became a Port Engineer for Coastal Corp. in Miami, FL. At the same time, he began MBA non-degree studies at Florida International University in Miami. In his sixteen years with that company, his responsibilities were increased multiple times from Port Engineer, to Facilities Engineer, to Engineering Manager, to Facility Operations Manager, to Director of Southeast Operations, to Vice President of East Coast & Caribbean Operations, before moving to the Corporate office in Houston, Texas after a merger with El Paso Corp. as Sr. Vice President of Facilities, Pipelines, & Shipping for the entire corporation
worldwide. During his career he has lived and worked in many countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia,Singapore, India, Korea, Japan, Spain, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Brazil, Cyprus, Egypt, and Greece.

Todd has a wonderful family with his lovely wife, Holly, who is a professional artist and photgrapher, a thirty-three year marriage including five adult children all with college degrees, two of which lived at Place of Hope and were adopted through Place of Hope, plus four grandchildren.
